Your kitchen probably gets cleaned more than most rooms in your home – especially your worktops. Quartz is quick and easy to clean. The stone is dense and compact, meaning that bacteria doesn’t grow or spread as easily as it might on other materials.
Day-to-day, wipe down any spills and mess immediately, and simply use warm water and a non-abrasive cleaner on your quartz worktops to keep them sparkling. It’s best to stay away from cleaning products that contain harsh chemicals such as bleach and chlorine. If you are unsure, do a patch test first to ensure that a new product doesn’t react with the stone.

How to remove stains from quartz worktops
Of course, quartz isn’t totally invincible. There may be times when your worktop becomes stained by red wine, coffee, grease or limescale for example. This is because the artificial resins and pigments that make up 10% of quartz can react when they come into contact with certain substances.
Got a grease stain to deal with? Rub the stained area with dishwasher soap and a sponge until it disappears. You can repeat the process a few times if necessary. Make sure you dry the area once you are finished.
Limescale is best tackled with cleaning vinegar and a damp sponge. For super stubborn limescale stains, you can even use a limescale remover that has been diluted with water. Leave the solution on the stain for no longer than two minutes and repeat the process if necessary. Again, make sure you dry the area once finished.
How to get tea stains out of quartz worktops
We’re a nation of tea-drinkers, so this advice will probably come in handy for everyone at some point. Plus, this method of stain removal can also be applied to coffee and highly acidic tipples such as fruit juice or wine stains. These substances will usually stain when left to sit awhile on your surfaces. That’s why we advise that any spills are always wiped as soon as possible.
If you do end up with a pesky stain, however, try mixing three parts baking soda and one part warm water together to create a paste-like solution. Let it sit on the surface for a minute or so. Then, wipe it away using a soft cloth (avoid anything too abrasive). Repeat if necessary and wipe the surface clean.
